Hi Sara, I'm Brian's mom from the KSU 2009 in DC. I had been thinking of nominating you for the Kohl's Kids cares program, then just saw you post on FB, so went to your website and started reading ! WOW, I had NO idea that you had already done so much! My goodness, you put many of us adults to shame! Keep up the great work! Brian and i will be in DC on March 27 for the National Walk for Epilepsy (our second time to participate). We'll be walking with Team Dravet b/c Dravet Syndrome is the rare type of epilepsy from which Brian suffers. If you're there, look for our group. We'll all be in bright orange caps! Brian and I just returned from FL where he had his "Wish trip". We got to swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove! It was an amazing adventure and a wonderful week "out of time." Keep up you're wonderful advocacy! Brenda & Brian Ferrell from TN

Dearest Sara. from our first meeting on the net I have been so impressed and yesterday passed all I could find on to the owners of Paientslikeme.com who just opened a new Epilepsy division on their site. They number over 50,000 participants and I am proud to say I have been one for four years. I will just miss your walk since I will be in NYC April 24th for the Parkinson's Walk..Come visit us and we'll talk...."One on One" we can cure these diseases..love Pokie

Hi Sara! I'm going to order your book soon! I'm 35 and I had my 1st seizure at 14.I'm appalled at how many people STILL don't know what to do when one has a seizure. I've been told by guys in the past, "You'd be fun to have se* with while you're having a seizure." It made me sick. I hadn't had a seizure in over 3 yrs., then these past 3 mo., I had 3. I have tonic-clonics. But, I am proud of myself- I'm a single mother of 1, 12-yr. old daughter, Alex, I'm going to college now, majoring in History, and I'm now engaged to a wonderful man! DO NOT let anyone make, what they think, are "jokes," to you. It's not funny and it's wrong. I wish you all the best in life and in school. I applaud your courage at such a young age. I will visit often! Take care and best of luck to you! :o)
