HEARD YOUR RADIO BROADCAST, YOU WERE FANTASTIC. MY HUSBAND CALLED THE SHOW AND SPOKE OF MY DAUGHTER KELSEY'S EPILEPSY. SHE IS NOW 21 MONTHS SEIZURE FREE AFTER 2 EPILEPSY SURGERIES TO REMOVE AN AREA OF HER RIGHT PARIETAL LOBE. A CONDITION KNOWN AS CORTICAL DYSPLASIA. SHE ALSO WAS 16MTHS OLD DURING HER FIRST SEIZURE. WE ALWAYS WENT INTO STATUS EPILEPTICUS AND DID NOT REGAIN CONSCIOUSNESS FOR UP 24 HOURS AT A TIME. I JUST WANT TO LET OTHER PEOPLE KNOW SURGERY IS ALSO A TREATMENT FOR EPILEPSY. WE FEEL IT SAVED OUR DAUGHTER'S LIFE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Sara and Joe - I heard the broadcast today and was very impressed by the information and advocacy that took place during it. I was especially impressed with the maturity that Sara-Elizabeth brought to the broadcast as she discussed her reasons for advocating for those with epilepsy. My congratulations and thanks to you both. It was a very important time for the listening public as the education that was presented was eye opening and the advocacy was enlightening. As a person who has had epilepsy and is active in advocacy for Epilepsy Fundation fo Northeastern NY, I am particularly thankful that you brought this into a more public forum. Barbara

Thanks Sara-Elizabeth I have listened to the show and I loved it! http://www.modavox.com/voiceamerica/ It reminds me of a song that George Strait sings- called (I saw God today) The song is basically about something else , but the meaning is the same to me, You are a CHAMPION and your dedication speaks volumes about your life and the way you handle it. Love You, Aunt Maddie & B.U.G.
